Brilliant Designer Needed

The 28 Page Agency is looking to add to our amazing design team. The ideal candidate:

• will consistently have a high level of integrity … meaning you do what you say you’re going to do, nearly always
• will be a typography snob … or at least, very good with type
• will have vast experience in InDesign and PSD … and be efficient. (illustrators also welcome!)
• have both print and web design experience. (Or perhaps you’re a print person who’s willing to work hard to get more web experience?)
• will have an excellent design eye
• will be detail-oriented
• will take art direction well and enjoy challenge
• will respect our zero “drama” policy (leave it at home or better yet, get rid of it!)
• will have excellent English skills
• will be available for 10-30 hours per week
• will be available for meetings or working in Santa Ana, CA - at least once weekly, if not more
• can use their computer our one of ours
• will receive pay commensurate with experience (independent contractor pay)

Congratulations Tamra Barney

Congratulations to Tamra Barney on the launch of her new official website, www.tamra-barney.com. In collaberation with her, we launched to over 20,000 hits in the first hour of her limited “sneak peek”. With her role on The Real Houswives of Orange County, her site is sure to see a lot more traffic. Congratulations, again, Tamra!

Calendar Season is here!

It’s CALENDAR SEASON! On top of all the websites, we’ve now begun shipping many of the 2012 calendars. Seem early? Actually, most retailers want their calendars by May or June, and most corporate calendars are distributed before Thanksgiving.

If you didn’t know … it takes on average 6-8 weeks to produce a calendar: about 2 weeks for design, 1 week for proofing, 1-2 week for printing, and 1 week for freight … 2 weeks buffer (occasionally) depending on the complexity, quantity, etc. While calendars can be done more quickly, it’s always safest to allow for this timeframe where possible.

Here’s a little name dropping on our part, but we are honored. If you didn’t already know, Author Kevin J. Anderson has worked on a lot of really awesome SciFi series and written a ridiculous number of other great novels. He was really great to work with on this project.
